Ketki Kadam who plays the adorable sister of Mohit Sehgal in Zee TV’s Sarojini (Rashmi Sharma Productions) has now turned an expert in shedding tears.
Yes, the girl has been asked to cry so much in the show that she does not require the aid of glycerine to bring tears in her eyes now.
Says Ketki, “My character has had a lot of emotional sequences and that has made me strong as an actor. I have mastered the art of crying, in simple words (smiles).”
Ask her whether this melodrama onscreen does not affect her real self and she states, “I thank my stars that I have a good ‘switch on and switch off’ mindset. I am a total prankster on sets and simply cannot stop laughing. But the moment the camera rolls, I am ready to shed tears and get sorrowful.”
She adds on, “It is real fun to be shooting with my costars. We have a ball while shooting, and it is a tough task for the director at times to put a halt to our jolly ambience and get us into a shoot mode.”
Ketki is now excited as her character sets foot into the next phase. “Indira will get married and will start a new journey away from home. I am looking forward to this new development.”
Keep smiling, Ketki….
