Sasural Simar Ka’ is the journey of an ordinary young small town girl, Simar, who has grown up with strong middle class values. Her life takes a sharp turn when her passion for dancing clashes with the conservative values of the middle class. She starts chasing her dream with support from her husband, but without letting anyone else in the family know. This hide and seek creates many challenging and interesting situations which are dealt with in a light hearted way.

Sasural simar ka’s protagonist Simar’s real name is Deepika Samson.The story of the serial is about Simar and her younger sister Roli(Avika Gor) both getting married in the same household. Simar’s husband Prem Bharadwaj is the younger brother of Siddhant who happens to be Roli’s husband.The story earlier showcased how these two sisters try to adjust in the conservative joint family,while some inlaws,tried playing dirty politics to degrade them infront of the Bharadwaj mansion’s patroness Mataji.Then entered Veeru and his girlfriend Khushi who wreck havoc in the lives of Bharadwaj parivaar.Veeru has a thing for Roli and kidnaps her.Then enters the other Avika Gor whose name is Jhumki and happens to be a nautankivali.She is hired by Prem and Simar to impose as Roli.Khushi and Veeru cry foul.Finally Simar and Jhumki Rescue Roli. Jhumki then leaves the house.
