Talented actor Tota Roy Chowdhury, who was seen in films like Angshumaner Chhobi, Shubho Mahurat and Chokher Bali, is all set to return to the small screen with Colors Bangla’s supernatural drama ‘Taranath Tantrik’.
Taranath Tantrik is a classic character when it comes to supernatural and paranormal stories in Bengali literature.
This fictitious character was the brainchild of one of the leading writers of modern Bengali literature, Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay. However, after two stories, his son Taradas Bandopadhaya took over and wrote for the rest of the collection.
Tota is playing the lead role of Tantrik in the serial.
When quizzed how does it feels to return to the small screen after a long period, he quipped, “It is not about small screen or big screen but it is all about the content and this is what attracted me.”
“I think small screen is a stamina game and is much more challenging to me. It is like giving more in a lesser period of time,” he signed off.
The actor was earlier seen in the serial Football way back in 2001.
Good luck, Tota.
Directed by Soumik Chattopadhyay, it will start from June.
